Clair Mallan, age 89 of Palm Beach Gardens, FL formerly of Metropolis, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Hospice of Palm Beach County. Graveside services with military rites were held on Sunday, June 5, 2016 in the Masonic Cemetery in Metropolis, Illinois. Father Michael Chris Mujule officiated. Clair was retired. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the Elks Lodge both in Metropolis. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. Clair is survived by his wife, Dolly Mallan; children, Caryl Mallan Osborn, Cheryl Mallan Sykes, Cindy Mallan Talbert, Karen Voorhees and husband Billy, and Pat Kelley and wife Linda; grandchildren, Dolly Davis, Chad Kelley, and Patrick Kelley; several great grandchildren. Clair was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Marie Mallan; sons, Robert Kelley & Frank Kelley. Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
