Charles "Charlie" Eichorn, 91, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022 at his residence surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 27, 2022 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Strong officiating. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens with military rites.

Charlie owned and operated many businesses throughout his life including Charlie's Sani Serve, Crown Burger Drive-In, Montego's Restaurant, Paradise Snow, Charlie's Party Hut, Fast Eddies and many others. He was an Army veteran serving in the Korean War and member of the American Legion Post 306 and the Metropolis Elks Lodge #1428.

Charlie is survived by his daughter, Donna Norton; son, Monty Eichorn and wife Patti; grandchildren, Jeremy Foy, Colton Eichorn (Ricci), Madison Puckett (Morgan), and Clayton Eichorn; and one great granddaughter, Sadie Foy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raleigh Eichorn; mother, Hazel (Rice) Modglin; and wife, Ann Eichorn.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm on Friday, May 27, 2022 at the funeral home.
