Mr. Charles E. "Sonny" Clapp, age 71, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Baptist Health of Paducah after a short buy courageous battle with cancer.Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19th, 2013 at Trinity Presbyterian Church with Rev. James Wright officiating.Sonney is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cindy Clapp; a son, Jonathon Clapp and wife Karen; a daughter, Jenny Baker and husband Chris; two grandchildren, Katye Baker and Finn Clapp; a brother, Freddie Clapp and wife Rhonda; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Delsie Clapp and a sister, Joanne Clapp.Friends may call to the Trinity Presbyterian Church from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19th.
