Mr. Charles "Ernie" Burd, age 57, of Brookport, IL, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at his home.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2015, at the Brookport Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Darnell officiating. Burial will follow in Pell Cemetery.Ernie is survived by his son, Greg Burd and companion Katie Wallace of Lone Oak, KY; daughter, Brittany Burd and companion Dalton Light of Metropolis; 1 grandson, Kayden Kline of Metropolis; 2 brothers, Michael Fasolo and wife Linda of Brookport and Danny Fasolo and wife Zandra of Paducah; several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Ruth (Ward) Burd; and 1 brother, Paul Burd.Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 4 at the Brookport Funeral Home.Online condolences may be left at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com.
