Ms. Charlene Waddell, age 79, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014 at Massac Memorial Hospital.Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2014, in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens with David Waddell officiating.Ms. Waddell was a member of the Metropolis First Baptist Church.Charlene is survived by 3 children, John Tim Waddell of Metropolis, Joseph Waddell and wife Melissa of Paducah, and Jolene Waddell Fontenot and husband Michael of Broken Arrow, OK; 7 grandchildren, Timothy Derek Waddell and wife Julia, David Russell Waddell, Brent Daniel Waddell, Angela Renee Gilmer and husband Christopher, Ashly Helen Mason, Leah Waddell, Stephanie Waddell; 8 great- grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Gary Orval Beal and Charles Michael Beal; 1 sister, Carol Jean Rutherford; several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Orval and Lucille (McMan) Beal; 1 son, Charles Daniel Waddell; 1 grandson, Bryan Joseph Waddell; 1 daughter-in-law, Theresa Gale "Tanner" Waddell.Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2014, at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home.Online Condolences may be left at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com.
