Carolyn June Korte passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Carolyn June (Bearden) Korte was born October 15, 1933 to Floy Lee Bearden and Mable Odelle Mungle Bearden in Graves County, Kentucky. She married Odell Korte of Metropolis, Illinois, on October 4, 1952 in Alcorn, Mississippi. To their union were born four daughters, Marsha June Kidd, Vickie Rene Bowles, Tammie Yvonne Owens, and Kimberly Kay Morgan. Carolyn is survived by daughters Marsha Kidd (Dan) of Paducah, KY, Rene Bowles (Blake) of Metropolis, IL, and Kim Morgan (Eddy) of Metropolis, IL; grandchildren, Josh Kidd (Laura), Casey Kidd (Lynn), Candace Vander Boegh (Kevin), McKenzie Bruer (Jeremy), Cassie Owens, Carly Owens, Kelsey Vick (Dylan), and Lenzie Keen (Stephen); great grandchildren, Sadie and Clara Kidd, Jeffery O'dell Kidd, Zack, Zain, and Maddie Vander Boegh, Jackson, Jarren, and Jayden Bruer, Presley Vick, Dawsyn June Keen; one brother, Wendell Bearden; three sister-in-laws, Doris Bell, Mary Bearden, and Marcy Bearden; several nephews, nieces, cousins, and two special friends, Tommy and Phyllis Reynolds. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Korte; one daughter, Tammie Owens; her parents; brothers, James Bearden, Kenneth Bearden; sister, Clara Jane Bearden. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis with the funeral service to follow at 1 pm. Rev. Topper Council and Rev.
