Carl R. Swenney, age 69 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 5:58 pm on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Baptist Health Paducah.

Memorial services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Living Waters Full Gospel Church in Joppa with Rev. Shane Baker officiating.

Carl was a laborer in the construction trade.

Carl is survived by a son, Rodger Swenney and wife Melissa of Vienna, IL; daughter, Stephanie McCoy and husband Gary of Paducah, KY; 4 grandchildren, McKenzie Swenney, Madison McCoy, Zack Swenney, and Holly Swenney; 1 great grandchild, Lilly; 2 brothers, Charles Swenney and Thomas Swenney and wife Karla all of Metropolis, IL; several nieces and nephews.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Carl C. and Dorothy R. (Tessmann) Swenney; wife, Kathy Swenney; brother, Donald Swenney.
