Brooksey McNeil, age 73 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 7:26 am on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the Massac Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Richerson officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Brooksey was a retired nurse and a member of Waldo Baptist Church.

Brooksey is survived by her daughter, Julie Brookshier and husband David of Golconda, IL; son, Joe Lear and wife Amanda of LaCenter, KY; grandchildren, Kody Brookshier, Andrew Brookshier, and Cassidy Lear; several nieces and nephews.

Brooksey was preceded in death by her parents, Olpha and Dorothy (Crews) Tolen; sister, Nancy Marie Douglas.

The family would like to say thank you to all of her caregivers and a special thank you to her two favorites, Debbie and Carla.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 11:00 am until the funeral hour at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
