Mr. Brian P. Howell, age 42 of Metropolis, IL passed away at 10:26 pm on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Lourdes Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home. Rev. Louis W. Brinker will officiate. Burial will follow at the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.Brian was a kid who could bring joy to those around him. He was a very accomplished musician and singer who played trumpet in the high school band and was student director. He managed several hotels, one being the Anita Bryant's Hotel and Theatre in Pigeon Forge, TN. His legacy includes his music, laughter, ability to be a friend to everyone and love of his family.Brian is survived by his parents, Larry and Sandy (Killman); brother, Shawn Howell of Metropolis; uncle, Mike (Shirley) Killman of Ecuador, South America; numerous cousins.Friends may call on Thursday evening June 6, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. to the Aikins Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis or on Friday morning June 7 from 8 a.m. until the funeral hour.
