Brian M. Blaine, age 64 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 3:50 am on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at his residence with his family by his side.

A Private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Brian was a Towboat Captain for 22 years out of the 42 years that he worked for the American River Transportation Company. He was of Baptist faith, enjoyed fishing, boating, being outdoors, and working on projects around the house.

Brian is survived by his wife of 26 years, Tina (Yates) Blaine; mother, Mary Etta (Martin) Blaine; daughters, Keri Hutchison and husband Mitchell and Kennedy Wolfe and husband Jake; grandchildren, Lillian Yoshua (Nathan), Georgia Darden, Bella McClellan, Brodie Hutchison, Wesley Hutchison, Owen Wolfe, and Bennett Wolfe; sisters, Pamela Stewart and Debbie Turner (Gary); faithful canine companion, Charlie; several nieces, nephews, many friends, and his best friend Charley Lewis.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, Gladly Joe Blaine and brother-in-law, Clay Stewart.

Memorials may be made in Brian’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
