Mrs. Brenda J. Angel, age 75, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018 with her loving family by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, October 8, 2018 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis with Rev. Frank Forthman, Bobby Parker and Austin Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Angel attended Grace Baptist Church in Paducah and retired from Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as a Dietician Supervisor. Brenda loved her family and cooking for family gatherings was one of the many things that brought her joy.

Brenda is survived by her husband of over 20 years, Terry Angel of Metropolis; two daughters, Lisa Williamson and husband Greg of Brookport and Nicole Burton and husband Kevin of New Columbia; one son, Todd Babb of Paducah, KY; five grandchildren, Vivian Scott and husband Austin, Miranda Burton, Abby Orr and husband Austin, Ally Rick, and Maddie Babb; one great granddaughter, Abilene Orr; one sister, Paula Weaver and husband Larry of Kevil, KY; one brother, Tommy Hurst and wife Brenda of Paducah, KY; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Tom Hurst, mother, Bonnie (Bradley) Hurst Steele; step-father, Joe Steele; first husband, Robert Babb; one grandson, Alex Babb; one sister, Jeannie Burnham.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis.
