Mr. Billie E. Harris, age 84, of Metropolis, IL, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at his daughter's residence.A celebration of his life in his new neighborhood where he has rejoined the love of his life after 1 month and 3 days apart will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 25th, 2014 at the Community Christian Church on Country Club Road in Metropolis, IL. Rev. Mike Hardison will officiate. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Bill was a member of the Gideon's International, Kiwanis where he was a past president, United Way and a former MMH board member. He was also a charter member of the Community Christian Church.Bill is survived by his 2 daughters, Sally West and husband Terry of Massac County and Sandy Garland and husband Ray of Lone Oak, KY; 4 grandchildren, Chad West of Dallas, TX, Matthew Hultman of Lexington, KY, Natalie West of Oahu, HI, and Mitch Hultman and wife Sarah of Murray KY; family friend, Brian Bleeker; 2 nieces and 1 nephew.Friends may call to the Community Christian Church from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25th.Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the Community Christian Church 1150 Country Club Road Metropolis, IL 62960, Gideon's International P.O.
