Bill E. Williams age 81 of Metropolis, IL passed away October 16, 2015 at the Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis, IL. He is the son of J.P. "Pal "and Ola (Travelstead ) Williams.Funeral service will be Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015 at 12:00 noon at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis, IL with Dr. Joe Buchanan and Rev. Glen Simpson officiating, Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.Bill is survived by his wife of 22 years Sherry (Emery) Williams; one daughter, Amber Blades and husband Perry of Calvert City, KY; one son, Camron Williams and wife Karen of Memphis, TN; two stepchildren, Casey Warren and husband Gary and Clint Ferguson and wife Mariam both of Metropolis, IL; Five grandchildren, Joseph, Carter, and Lily Blades, Charlee Swader and Sarena Newberry and husband Jeremy; two sisters, Sheila Carver and husband Don and Roma Smith both of Metropolis, IL; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Jo Bowman and one brother, Kenneth Williams.Bill was a member of the Metropolis First Baptist Church. He enjoyed all kinds of sports and was an area referee. He was employed and retired from Allied Chemical with 30 years of service.
