Ms. Betty June (Stockton) Storm, age 86, of Metropolis, IL, passed away Tuesday morning, December 24, 2013 at her home with her loving family by her side.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Metropolis with Rev. Louis Brinker and Bro. Jack Hankins officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.Betty was a retired beautician having owned Lady B Beauty Shop for over 40 years. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Metropolis and the Heritage Homemakers.Betty is survived by her 2 daughters, Virginia "Ginger" (Storm) Griffey and husband Bob and Karla Kay (Storm) Hahn both of Metropolis; 6 grandchildren, Heather Ann Rottmann and husband Darian of Metropolis, Ryan Andrew Hahn and wife Millie of Paducah, KY, Grant Richard Hahn of Chicago, IL, Alex Kent Hahn of Murray, KY, Kristi Lynn Stepter and husband Kevin of Smyrna, TN, and Nicholas Dwayne Griffey and wife Tracy of Metropolis, and; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Yvonne Wilkes and husband Jerry of Paducah, KY; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Brea and Ida Irene (Smith) Stockton Sr.; husband, Bennie Richard Storm; 1 sister, Emily Pearl Hudson; and her brother, Lloyd Brea Stockton Jr.Visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church in Metropolis from 10:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 28.
