Betty M. Sexton, 79 of Metropolis, IL, passed away on July 26, 2017 at Baptist Health Paducah. Betty is survived by her husband of 51 years, David L. Sexton of Metropolis, IL; two sons, Joseph L. Sexton of Joppa, IL and Chester "Chez" L. Sexton of Paducah, KY; one daughter, Rebecca L. Hyde of Greenville, SC; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Maxine Carroll; one daughter, Terry G. Middleton; two grandchildren, Lisa L. Middleton and Michael E. Middleton; two brothers, Virgil Carroll and Roy Carroll; and two sisters, Doris Carroll and Sue Jelley.
