Mrs. Betty June Morris, age 89, of Metropolis, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Massac Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at First Baptist Church Metropolis with Dr. Joe Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Betty was a member of First Baptist Church in Metropolis, a former member of the African Violet Club, a graduate of the Galatia High School Class of 1948, and spent a lot of time camping and boating at Kentucky Lake.

Betty is survived by her sister, Mary Lou Maple; 6 nieces; 1 nephew; several great nieces and great nephews; and her church family.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bessie (Sutton) Perdue; loving husband of 58 and one half years, Bernard "Barney" Morris; sister, Sybil James.

Visitation will be held Saturday morning, February 1st, from 9:30 to 11 am at the First Baptist Church Metropolis.
