Betty Joyner, age 81, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Southgate Health Care Center.

Betty was a retired cook.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Betty Fry, Sheila Sharp, and Terra Derry; six grandchildren, Kasey Garris, Brian Wimer, Jennifer Pugh, Joseph Sharp, Skylar Bond and Tyler Derry; 15 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Rose Easley and Wilma Black; brother, Herman Meyers, William Meyers and Bobby Meyers; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Wren; mother, Vollena Meyers; husband, Gilford Joyner; one granddaughter, Blair Garris; siblings, Ruby Kazort, Lillian Reagan, Spring Rhoades; Emma Averitt; Chuck Meyers, Joe Meyers and Larry Meyers.
