Mr. Bartow Rickman Jr., age 71, of Metropolis, IL, passed away at 9:34 a.m. on Monday, October 28, 2013 at Baptist Health of Paducah.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 1, 2013 at Weaver Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Shawn Vandergriff officiating. There will be no burial.Mr. Rickman was a member of the VFW Post 3847 and American Legion Post 306.Bartow is survived by 4 children, Rhonda Tester, Rex Rickman, Brett Rickman, and Candy Rickman; 1 step-son, Howard Hertter; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Charles Rickman and Gene Rickman.He was preceded in death by his parents, Bartow and Verdalia (Komar) Rickman Sr.; one son, Bart Rickman. Visitation will be held at Weaver Creek Baptist Church from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday.Aikins Farmer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
