Mrs. Barbara Wells, age 94, of Grand Chain, IL, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the Metropolis Nursing and Rehab Center.Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2015, in the Oak Grove Methodist Cemetery in Massac County with Pastor Pete Vinson officiating. There will be no visitation. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.Mrs. Wells was a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church and led a simple, hard-working life.Barbara is survived by her son, Edward Wells and wife Nancy of Jeffersontown, KY; 2 granddaughters, Tana Wells and Kristin Wells both of Louisville, KY; special friends, Paul and Gina Pritchett of Grand Chain, IL.She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Lottie (Parker) Whitelock; husband, Oliver Wells; brother, Lloyd Whitelock.Memorial contributions may be given to the Oak Grove Cemetery Fund c/o Paul Pritchett 1239 Grand Chain Rd.
