Mrs. Barbara Jones, 69, of Grantsburg, IL, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Lourdes Hospice Care Center in Paducah.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2015, at the New Hope Baptist Church in New Columbia, IL, with Rev. Frank Forthman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.Mrs. Jones was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.Barbara is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jimmy Jones of Grantsburg; sons, James William "Billy" Jones and fiancé Tracy Clay of Grantsburg; Chris Jones and wife Karen of Grantsburg; 3 grandchildren, Ashley Williamson and husband Chad, Adam Jones and wife Emily, and Nathan Jones; 3 great grandchildren, Drake Williamson, Aubrey Williamson, and Eli Landeros; 1 brother, John Murphy of Pope County.She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Anna Murphy; siblings, Hillis Murphy, Willard Murphy, Mildred Quertermous, Minnie Etheridge, Betty Whalen, Joe Murphy, and Gary Murphy.Visitation will be held at the New Hope Baptist Church on Sunday, May 3, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m.Expressions of sympathy may be given in Barbara's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital PO Box 1000 Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38101-9908.Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.Online condolences may be left at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com.
