Arlen Amos Wiley, age 72 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 5:30 pm on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis. Rev. Gary DeRossett will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt. Sterling Cemetery. Arlen was a retired farmer. Arlen is survived by his siblings, Dorothy Sexton, Ruth Varvel, Otis Wiley, LuLa Belle Kickasola, James Wiley, J.L. Wiley, Shirley Tanner, Judy Tanner, and Bobby Wiley; several nieces and nephews. Arlen was preceded in death by his parents, Landis and Freda (Stone) Wiley; siblings, Pete Wiley, Scottie Wiley, Robert Wiley, and Berniece Wiley; grandparents, Amos and Alie (Holt) Wiley Sr. Arrangements have been entrusted to Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis.
