Mrs. Anna Marie Holley, age 62, of Metropolis, IL, passed away at 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at her residence with her loving family by her side.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2014 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home with Ron Gulley officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.Anna worked several years at Southern 7 Head Start and Massac Nursery and was a member of Park Street Church of Christ.Anna is survived by 1 daughter, Lisa Werner and husband Kevin of Brookport; 2 sons, James Holley and wife Lisa of Lawrenceburg, IN and William "Billy" Holley and wife Julie of Metropolis; 5 grandchildren, Ashley and Kyle Holley, Jared Medley and wife Madelynne, Dalton Werner, and Jason Holley; 2 great-granddaughters, Emma and Macii Medley; 7 sisters, Paula Kilgore and husband Gary of Metropolis; Janet MacDonald of Belleville, IL, Lucy Carlyle and husband Donnie of Collinsville, IL, Dorothy Sowders and husband Jerry of West Paducah, KY; Betty Norwood of Metropolis; Mary Burke and husband Bill of St. Louis, MO, and Barbara Downes of Reidland, KY; 5 brothers, Kenneth Sweitzer and wife Suzie of Collinsville, IL, Paul Sweitzer of Caseyville, IL, George Sweitzer and wife Kathy of Fairview Heights, IL, Roy Sweitzer of St. Louis, MO, and Harold Sweitzer and wife Kelly of Collinsville, IL; 1 sister-in-law, Debra Lewis and husband Gary of Metropolis; several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Sweitzer and Opal (Harris) Jerdon; husband of 45 years, Jimmie Dale Holley; and 1 brother-in-law, Keith Norwood.
