Ann Kennedy, 87 of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Paducah, KY.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 2, 2021 in Masonic Cemetery in Metropolis with Rev. Frank Forthman Jr. officiating. There will be no visitation. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Ann was of the Baptist faith and spent many years helping with the Western Baptist Hospital Auxiliary. She loved her family and will be missed.

Ann is survived by her sons, Joel Kennedy of Paducah and Michael Kennedy and wife Tina of Metropolis; eight grandchildren, Darrel Kennedy and Travis Kennedy both of Metropolis, Joel Kennedy II (Jacklyn) of Paducah, Lasha Kommer (Adam) of Metropolis, Emily Lamar (Devin) of Paducah, Benjamin Kennedy (Holli) of Brookport, Grace Kennedy of Metropolis and Rose Kennedy of Paducah; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Bonner and Pearl O'Brien; two brothers, William Forthman (Dean) and James Forthman (Sandy); several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Bessie Forthman; husband, William Eugene Kennedy; one sister, Dorothy Brown; and three brothers, Frank Forthman Sr., Rodger Forthman and Murphy Forthman.
