Ms. Amy Brinker Sherman, age 68, of Calvert City, KY, formerly of Brookport, IL, passed away at 10:44 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Lourdes Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at St. John's Church on Waldo Church Road in Metropolis with Rev. Louis Brinker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.Amy is survived by three sons, Richard Allan Shappard and wife Ingrid, Russell Aaron Shappard and wife Marsha, and Jonathan Ross Koons; one daughter, Amy Christine Dixon; six grandchildren, Jacob Michael Hughes, Zachary Todd Dixon and wife Chelsea, Matthew Steven Dixon, Jessica Nunnery, Cieara Shappard, and Elizabeth Paige Shappard; three sisters, Nancy Yates and husband Danny, Peggy Watts, and Patty Waynick and husband Linn; several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Dixie Dimple (Butterfield) Brinker.Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Church.Memorial contributions may be given to the American Parkinson's Disease Association Midwest Chapter 1800 N.
