IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Amelia "Millie"
House
December 11, 2024 – May 11, 2025
In the words of an unknown author, "An Angel in the book of life wrote down my baby's birth and whispered as she closed the book, 'too beautiful for Earth'."
Amelia "Millie" Marie House was born in Carbondale, IL, on December 11, 2024 to Henry Jace and Angel Renee House and was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, May 11th, 2025.
God's grace, nature's beauty, and her family's humor were mixed together perfectly in Millie. Her laugh, smile and wild curls will be etched into the minds of everyone that knew her. She loved to babble and always had much to say. She always listened with bright eyes, seeming to know more than all of us. To meet Millies was to love her and to hold her was to understand all that is good in the world.
Millie was received into the loving arms of great grandparents, James and Mary Jo House, Pamela Butener, and Linda Hern.
Millie is survived by her parents; maternal grandparents, Rubi "Libby" Meyer and Lolita "Deedee" Forester; paternal grandparents, William Kelly and Tonya Marie House; great grandmother, Terri Heflin; great grandfather, Ed Hern; and great-great grandmother, Verna Dee Castas. Millie is the beloved niece of 9 uncles and 2 aunts and had a special bond with her first cousin, Atlas James McHaney.
Private services are entrusted to Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis. Condolences for the family may be left online at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com.
