Alvin Edward York Jr., age 72 of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 4:26 am on Friday, April 24, 2026 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Services will be held at a later date.

Alvin served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy.

Alvin is survived by his brother, Bruce York; nephews, Benjamin York, Branston York, and Conner Holmes; several cousins.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Edward “Al” York Sr. and Shirley Dean (Henson) York; grandparents, Toy and Era Tubbs York and Joseph Jamie and Mamie Frances Hale Henson; brother, Phillip York.
