Alma Louise Humes, age 76 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 11:25 am on Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Metropolis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis. Rev. David Siere will officiate. Burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetery.Alma was of the Baptist Faith and loved working in her yard.Alma is survived by 3 brothers, Jim Latham and wife Becky, Truman Latham, and Jerry Latham and wife Mary all of Metropolis, IL; 2 sisters, Jean Davis of Metropolis, IL and Flory Owens and husband Wes of Brookport, IL; several nieces and nephews.Alma was preceded in death by her parents, Thelbert and Opal (Eaves) Latham; husband of 43 years, William Humes; sister-in-law, Brenda Latham; and 5 siblings.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 10 am to 1 pm at the Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis, Illinois.Online condolences may be left at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com.
