Alice V. Harris, age 93 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 8:52 pm on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at her residence.

Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Pell Cemetery with Pastor Chris Strong officiating.

Alice retired from the Elgin State Hospital and then returned to Metropolis and worked as a cook at Massac Memorial Hospital for several years. She was a member of Victory Church in Metropolis.

Alice is survived by her daughter, Debra Luker and husband Edward; her sons, Charles Harris and wife Chris, Eddie R. Harris and wife Andria, Robert D. Harris and wife Misty, and Steven R. Harris; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild; her sister, Pauline Ewer; several nieces and nephews.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Annie (Lynn) Davis; her husband, Robert E. Harris; her daughter, Bobbie Gorke; her son, Roland Eugene Harris; her great grandson, Devon Carlton; 3 brothers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the services.

Music will be provided by Sidney Strong, soloist and Aaron Melcher, guitarist.
