Alexander M. Rolland age 8 of Metropolis, IL passed away on June 14, 2016 as a result of an automobile accident. Funeral services will be held at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home Friday night, June 17, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. David Wright officiating. Alexander attended Unity Elementary School. Alexander is survived by his father, Jeffrey Rolland Sr. of Grantsburg, IL; mother and stepfather, Christina and John Roman of Metropolis; brothers, Jeffrey Rolland Jr. and wife Amber of Morrison, IL, Jared Vermast, Thomas Vermast, and Tyler Frederick all of Metropolis and Austin Roman of Bagdad, KY; sisters, Dana M. Rolland of Savannah, IL and Serenity Roman of Bagdad, KY; grandparents, Cynthia and Gary Schwartz of Moline, IL and Timothy Pynckel of Vernon, NY; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Alexander and Marie Rolland; two cousins, Andrew Redecker and Alexander Rolland III. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home.
