Adeline M. Edwards 91 of Metropolis, IL passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015, at Lourdes Hospice Center in Paducah, Ky. She was born on April 21, 1924 in Metropolis. She was a lifelong member of Metropolis First Baptist Church in Metropolis. She is survived by one son, Don Edwards and wife Connie of Metropolis, three sisters, Mary LaVeau, Ann Taylor, and Geri Rushing, all of Metropolis. She also has six grandchildren, Brian Edwards and wife Charlene of Metropolis, Kristi Cavaness, Rodney Edwards and wife Amy, Kimberly Cook and husband Shawn, Jennifer Burroughs and husband Tim, all of Cape Girardeau, Mo. And Wendy Johnson and husband Mark, from San Diego Ca. Mrs. Edwards also has 11 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Harry, parents Theodore and Anna Kotter, son, Dennis Edwards, infant son, Michael, brother, Robert, sisters, Helen Causer, Alice Galliher Dunn, and Phyllis Garner. Mrs. Edwards was a devoted, loving, mother and wife. She would always put her family and their needs ahead of her own. She will also be remembered by her smile and compassion. She has left a lifetime of memories for her family and friends. Graveside services will be held Sunday, November 29, at 2:00 PM, at Metropolis Memorial Gardens in Metropolis IL with Bro.
