Mr. Adam Crispen Velez, age 39, of Metropolis, IL, died Tuesday, June 6, 2017 in Massac County, IL. Graveside services will be held at 11am on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Otterbein Cemetery with Father Michael Mujule officiating. Burial will follow. Adam was the owner of Velez Welding and of the Catholic faith. Adam is survived by his father, Ismael Velez and wife Marilyn of Amherst, OH; mother, Cherolyn Velez of Metropolis; five children, Kyle Velez of Lorain, OH, Alexis Velez, Sadie Velez, Jacob Velez and Izaac Velez all of Metropolis; two sisters, Dawn Wendell of Columbia Station, OH and Nichole Velez of Lorain, OH; one niece, Avianna Velez; four nephews, Ethan Gore, Jared Wendell, Asiah Kielian, and Aven Kielian; one step brother, David Laschen of Lorain, OH; step sister, Tiffany Lascher of Lorain, OH. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lacey Velez; grandparents, Mildred and George Kaurich and Maria and Ismael Velez Sr. There will be no visitation. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home.
