Obituary

Adam Brinker, age 43, of Brookport, IL, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018 in Big Creek Township, MI.

Mr. Brinker was a graduate of Massac County High School, West Kentucky Technical College, and IBEW JATC Apprentice Program. He was a member of St. John's Church of Christ and was employed by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers as a Union Journeyman electrician. Adam was very proud to be with the IBEW and a part of the IBEW Brotherhood. He traveled all over the US with his Union brothers to provide for his family.

Adam truly lived life to the fullest. During his time away from work, he enjoyed the simple pleasures in life: hunting, fishing, ATV riding, shooting guns, gardening, skeet shoots, and IBEW fundraisers and picnics. Everyone that knew Adam knew they could enjoy life while around him; whether it was riding through the Unionville Bottoms, socializing with friends, attending a cookout, or just listening to music, Adam could find joy in life.

Adam was very close to his grandparents, Dimple and Butch Brinker. He loved his family and the family farm he grew up on. As an adult, he purchased the same farm to raise a family of his own. Adam was an avid hunter and had many dogs as pets during his life. But one dog, Jase, was his best hunting buddy and could simply make his heart melt.

Adam is survived by his wife of 21 years, Reba Reed; two children, Drake Brinker and Alayna Reed-Brinker; one step-daughter, Alecia Cooper; his mother, Peggy Watts; half-brother, Tyson Watts; two aunts, Patty (Linn) Waynick and Nancy (Danny) Yates; one niece; one nephew and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Butch and Dimple Brinker; and one aunt, Amy Sherman.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 2-4pm at the Loftus-McManus Brookport Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 4pm with Scott Darnell and Jim Sanchez officiating.
