Rodger D Barnhill

Mr. Rodger D. Barnhill, age 63, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the University of Arkansas Medical Center in Little Rock, AR.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home with Bro. Justin Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in IOOF Cemetery.

Mr. Barnhill worked for Lafarge Corp., was a member of the Metropolis Masonic Lodge #91 and the Antique Automobile Club of America.

Rodger is survived by his wife of 45 years, Gayle of Metropolis; daughter, Joli Story and husband Jimmy of Metropolis; son, Jeremy Barnhill and wife Lacey of Metropolis; four grandchildren, Remington Barnhill, Logan Story, Fox Barnhill and Cannon Barnhill; two sisters, Sherrol Gray and husband Gary of Metropolis and Deloris Lambert and husband Randy of Lone Oak, KY; one brother, Bill Barnhill and wife Sherry of Metropolis; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in by his parents, J.D. and Altha Virginia (Myrick) Barnhill and one nephew, Darin Gray.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 6 to 8pm at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home with Masonic Rites at 7pm which is open to the public.

Memorials may be given in Rodger's name to UAMS Myeloma Institute, 4301 W. Markham Street #561, Little Rock, AR 72205-7199.
