Patsy Suddarth Obituary
Patsy "Gaye" Suddarth died at the home of her daughter on ¬Saturday, July 15, 2017 in Metropolis, IL. She was 81 years old.
(Mrs. Suddarth or Gaye) was born January 30, 1936 in Braggadocio, MO, to her parents Ode and Ruby Scott. She graduated from Southeast Missouri University in Cape Girardeau, MO with a degree in education. Gaye taught school at Concord and Hayti R2 was also a substitute teacher and taught GED classes.
Gaye cherished her family and was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She married Carl C. Suddarth in August 17, 1958 and the couple had one daughter together Karla.
She was a passionate, patient, and supportive teacher who imparted her love and wisdom to many students. She enjoyed reading, large family dinners, and going to the casino. She was baptized as a youth.
Mrs. Suddarth is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karla and Joe Boyd of Metropolis, IL, granddaughter and grandson-in-law Courtney and Larry Wyatt, great grandson Mason and great granddaughter Josey. Also, she is survived by siblings: Zola Scott Blytheville, AR, Joe and Sandy Scott Russellville, AL, Julia Robinson, Grand Terrace, CA, June Robichaud Columbia, SC, Leon (Scotty) Scott, Jupiter, Florida, and sister-in-law Freda Scott. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings Faye Cook Alexander, Levon (Bud) Scott, Dixie Scott , and Leval Scott. And several nieces and nephews she adored and loved dearly.
Mrs Suddarth will have a private ceremony on, Tuesday, July 18, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to a charity of your choice,
