Kathy Hankins Obituary
Kathy Hankins, age 60 of Metropolis, IL passed away at 6:11 am on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis. Rev. Jake Ervin will officiate. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
Kathy was retired from Massac County Unit 1. She was a member of Waldo Baptist Church.
Kathy is survived by her husband Larry Hankins of Metropolis; daughter, Liz Springer and companion Christopher Gish of Metropolis; mother, Frances Elam of Metropolis; grandchildren, Mya Draffen and Mazzy Draffen both of Metropolis, Chandler Draffen of Paducah; sister, Joyce Barnhill and husband Marvin of Metropolis; nephew, Matt Barnhill and wife Jessica of Grand Chain; niece, Christina McManus and husband Jason of Metropolis; 3 great nephews, Dalton Barnhill, Cameron McManus, Hunter McManus; 2 great nieces, Maggie Barnhill and Aubry McManus; and several cousins.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Virgil E. Elam; brothers, Michael Eugene Elam and Virgil Wayne "Junior" Elam.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 10 am to 1 pm at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis.
Pallbearers will be Phil Reynolds, Nate Reynolds, Christopher Gish, Matt Barnhill, Hunter McManus, Cameron McManus, Marvin Barnhill, Jason McManus, Chandler Draffen, and Dalton Barnhill.
Honorary pallbearer will be Brady Gish.
