Fern Livesay Obituary
Mrs. Fern (Logeman) Livesay, age 79, of Brookport, IL, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at her son's home surrounded by the ones she loved.
Memorial services will be held at 7:30 pm on Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Sielbeck officiating.
Fern began her RN career doing missionary work in New Guinea from 1960 to 1964. She continued showing her love for others with her career as a nurse with the Kentucky Commission for Handicap in Paducah, KY. After retirement, she helped teach her granddaughters to cook, clean, and plant flowers. She loved to spend all day enjoying the outdoors.
Fern is survived by her only son, Tim Davis and wife Tonya; four granddaughters, Stephanie Willis and husband Aaron, Natalie Davis, Ashley Davis, Tenley Davis; one great grandson, Hunter Willis; and two special grandkids, Jessica Sparks and Kealey Wise; brother, Truman Logeman and wife Liz; tons of nieces and nephews; and the Livesay family.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Barney and Ester (Korte) Logeman; sister, Opal Markus; brother, Ralph Logeman; infant brother, Reuben Logeman; and husband, John Livesay.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 6 until 7:30 pm at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be given in Fern's name to the Metropolis First Baptist Church Haiti Mission Trip, 307 Massac Creek Road, Metropolis, IL 62960.
