Cline Pritchett

Cline L. Pritchett, 87, of Joppa, Illinois, passed away on January 8, 2017 at home surrounded by his wife and family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the Aikins-Farmer
Funeral Home with the Bro. David Wright of Joppa Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Cline was born in Tams, Illinois to Ruel and Genevieve Pritchett on November 3, 1929. After graduating from Joppa High School, he served in the United States Army from 1951-1953, attaining the rank of sergeant. He married Julia Nutty on January 11, 1955 at New Hope Baptist Church in New Columbia, Illinois. He worked for many years and retired from EEI. He was a longtime member of Joppa Baptist Church. Also, he was an avid camper, and took many trips with friends and family over the years.

Cline is survived by his wife of 62 years, Julia Pritchett; son, Steve Pritchett and wife Marla; daughter, Nancy Beck and husband Jeff; son, Joe Pritchett; brother, Frank Pritchett; grandchildren, Karen Pritchett, Kevin Beck, Courtney Kaaz, and Mallory Soto; great-granddaughter, Stephanie; as well as many family and friends.

Cline is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Victor.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Les Little, Kevin Miller, Jason Wright, Dennis Lewis, Bruce Monzulla, Bryan Edwards, Bubby Lowery

Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Pritchett, Frank Pritchett, Bill Sommer, Jim King

Memorials may be given to Joppa Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund PO Box 276 Joppa, IL 62953.
