Carlos Garrett Obituary
Mr. Carlos Garrett, age 81, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home with Rev. Jon Cockrel officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens with military rites.
Mr. Garrett was an US Army Veteran.
Carlos is survived by four children, Pam Gulczynski of Kankakee, IL, Carla Verde and husband Glenn of Crown Point, IN, Jeffery Garrett of Metropolis, and Robin Welker and husband Troy of Momence, IL; seven grandchildren, Jamie Krause, Sarah Foley, Mia McCue and husband Matt, Kailey Gash and husband Josh, Tyler Welker, Alyssa Verde, and Brandon Verde; four great grandchildren, Chloe Krause, Sophia Krause, Wyatt Usewicz, and Owen McCue.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Frances Garrett.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Legion Post 306, 321 Market Street Metropolis, IL 62960.
