Anna Jeffords Obituary
Anna Pauline Jeffords age 94 of Metropolis, IL, passed away June 16, 2017 at the Southgate Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born Jan. 2, 1923 in Massac Co., IL to Johnnie and Margaret Ann Manley Sexton.
Graveside and burial service will be at 1pm Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the I.O.O. F. Cemetery, with Dr. Joe Buchanan officiating.
Mrs. Jeffords was an EMT and ambulance driver for the Massac Memorial Hospital, devoted wife of Bill Jeffords and devoted a mother. Pauline was a recent member of First Baptist Church in Metropolis and was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Pauline was survived by one daughter, Chesley Rodgers of Metropolis and one son William Jeffords of Marion, IL; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 brothers, Elbert and Lester Sexton; 3 sisters, Golda Sielbeck, Edna Sexton, and Alta Oliver.
Memorials may be given to the charity of choice.
Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
There will be no visitation. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
