Truman Logeman, age 79 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 1:15 pm on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Metropolis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Kent Hollis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Truman was born and raised in Pope County, IL, and graduated from Metropolis High School in 1957. He married his wife Liz on September 5, 1964. Truman was a lifelong grain and livestock farmer. He enjoyed spending time on the farm and visiting with his family, friends and neighbors. He was a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church. His faith and service to the Lord were evident to all.
Truman is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth “Liz” Logeman; five children, Bobby Logeman, Roger Logeman and wife Connie, Michael Logeman, Lisa Allbritten and husband Jared, and Rita Nalley and husband Chad; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Truman was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Ester (Korte) Logeman; sisters, Opal Markus and Fern Livesay; brother, Ralph Logeman; infant brother, Reuben Logeman.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, November 20, 2018 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home and on Wednesday from 9 am until the funeral hour at the church.
Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, 5187 Old Marion Road, Metropolis, IL 62960.
