Sue (Lasley) Teckenbrock

Mrs. Sue Teckenbrock, age 87 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 3:40 am on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Metropolis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, July 27, 2018 at the First Christian Church in Metropolis with Pastor Keith Tilford officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Sue was a member of the First Christian Church, where she sang in the choir and participated in many groups. She was a member of the Massac County Historical Society, Red Hatters, TOPS, and volunteered at Massac Memorial Hospital.

Sue is survived by her daughters, LeAnne Glidden and husband Greg of Denver, NC and Lisa Wyatt and husband Ken of Hurricane, WV; son, Brad Teckenbrock and wife Elyse of Chicago, IL; 7 grandchildren, Jason Teckenbrock, Shannon Glidden, Justin Teckenbrock, Alicia Glidden, Sean Wyatt, Melissa Vandegrift, and Nick Wyatt; 14 great grandchildren, Charley, Jesse, Anna, Avery, Josh, Kenna, Cadden, Bryson, William, Owen, Jase, Lily, Mason, and Theo; niece, Donna Owens; nephews, Larry Teckenbrock, Bob Beardsley, and Jeff Lasley.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, William Floyd and Mary (Barnett) Lasley; husband, Leroy Teckenbrock; sister, Jean Miller-Janes; brother, Floyd “Bud” Lasley and wife Dorothy.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at the First Christian Church in Metropolis.
