Rosemary (Crosier) Hertter Allbritten

Rosemary Crosier Hertter Allbritten, age 97 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 11:30 am on Friday, September 6, 2019 at Metropolis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 29, 1922 in Metropolis, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Odell Allbritten officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Rosemary was a member of Metropolis Church of Christ and attended Lone Oak Church of Christ. We will greatly miss this kind and gracious lady. Family always came first.

Rosemary is survived by her son, George Henry “G.H.” Hertter Jr. and wife Patricia; step daughter, Sue Kennedy and husband Paul; step son, Odell Allbritten and wife Deirdre; grandchildren, George Hertter III, Kevin Hertter, Julie Petrillo and husband Brett, Shanda Graffice and husband Eric, Jason Kennedy and wife Anita, Kyle Allbritten and wife Crystal, Vance Allbritten and wife Cindy, Jared Allbritten, Aaron Allbritten; several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, Toliver Douglas and Ruth (Henley) Crosier; 1st husband, George Henry Hertter Sr.; 2nd spouse, Olen Allbritten; sisters, Velma Wetherington and Ruth Helton; brothers, Troy, Blaine, Edwin, and Charles Crosier.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from 11 am to 1 pm at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
