Robert Edwards

Mr. Robert Edwards, 86, of Paducah, KY, formerly of Harrisburg, IL and Brookport, IL, died on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Baptist Health Paducah.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm on Friday, July 6, 2018 at the Loftus-McManus Brookport Funeral Home with Bob Coburn and Darrell Simon officiating. Burial will follow in Pell Cemetery.

Mr. Edwards was an US Air Force veteran and a longtime faithful member to the Harrisburg Church of Christ. 

Robert is survived by his wife of over 63 years, Peggy Edwards of Paducah, KY; daughter, Robyn Dowdy and husband Greg of Benton, KY; two sons, Terry Edwards and wife Sheryl and Phil Edwards and wife Karol all of Paducah; five grandchildren, Emily Dowdy, Bryce Edwards and wife Amanda, Lucas Edwards, Bethany Edwards and husband Alex Barry, and Matthew Edwards; one great grandchild, David Barry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Elmer and Molly Edwards Sr.; one son, Charles John Edwards; one brother, William Elmer Edwards Jr.; one sister, Edith Pennell.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 6th from 1pm until the funeral at 2:30pm at the Loftus-McManus Brookport Funeral Home.

Bob dearly loved his Lord. He completely loved all his family with Peggy, his wife, being the shining star for their 63 and a half years of marriage. A gentle and generous man, Bob was dearly loved by his family, church, and all who knew him.  He is and will be sorely missed.
