Richard Smith

Mr. Richard Smith, 74, of Golconda, IL, died Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Massac Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, August 31, 2018 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis with Bro. Brian Anderson and Bro. Kevin Richerson officiating. Burial will follow in IOOF Cemetery.

Mr. Smith was a member of Eastland Life Church and Antioch Union Baptist Executive Board and Disaster Relief. He was a Christian that enjoyed singing and worshiping.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Susan A Ortiz; son, Richard D Smith three grandchildren, Crystal Billings, Oscar Tenorio and Gabriela Orozco; three great grandchildren; Tevin, Teagan & Nevaeh Billings; all of Central Florida; five sisters, Mary Herron, Patricia Sanders, Brenda Harrington, Debra Shipley and Roberta Roper; special friend, Wilma Flemister; an abundance of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Milburn Smith; mother, Opal Frances English; four brothers, Eugene Gordon Smith, James Milburn Smith, Roger Carman Smith, and Robert Dale English.

  Visitation will be held on Friday, August 31st from 11 am until the funeral at 1pm at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
