Maxine C. (Bakehouse) Wymer

Maxine C. Wymer, age 90 of Unionville, Illinois passed away at 6:27 am on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Metropolis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at St. Stephens Lutheran Church with Pastor Tom Emmerson officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Maxine was a life long member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church. She worked on the farm with her husband Troy, was always helping others, and worked at several plants including Laidlaw, from which she retired.

Maxine is survived by her daughter, Connie Douglas and husband Tod of Unionville; grandson, Dylan Douglas of Unionville; sister-in-law, Dorothy Greene of Metropolis; nieces, Judy Friedl of Orland Park, IL, Debbie Marker of Metropolis, Pam Weaver of Metropolis; cousins, Pat Robinson of Brookport, Pam Brown of Carrier Mills, Kim and Dwight Bakehouse of Metropolis, Linda Humphrey of Concord, NC

Maxine was preceded in death by her mother Mabel Bakehouse Billington; husband , Troy Wymer; cousin, Paul Bakehouse.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 1 pm to 3 pm at St. Stephens Lutheran Church.

Memorials may be made to St. Stephens Lutheran Church 6874 Midway Road, Metropolis, IL 62960.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Weaver, Kim Bakehouse, Dwight Bakehouse, Larry Robinson, Tod Douglas, and Dylan Douglas.
