Maxine (Windhorst) Schneider

Mrs. Maxine Schneider, age 92, of Metropolis, IL, passed away at 4:52 pm on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 surrounded by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Joey Dunning officiating. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Schneider was a homemaker and member of Word of Life Tabernacle.

Maxine is survived by two daughters, Teresa Mansfield and Denise Dunker and husband Greg; three sons, Darrel Schneider and wife Billie, Randall Schneider and wife Deena and David Schneider; seven grandchildren, Wendie Taylor, Susanne Schneider, Daniel Schneider, Joshua Schneider, Alicia Hogue and husband Matt, Kerry Mansfield and wife Sara and Jessica Sills and husband Tyler; five great grandchildren, Katherine Mansfield, Julia Mansfield, Eli Sills, Arlo Sills, and Quentin Schneider; one sister, Catherine Dunning; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Lydia (Teckenbrock) Windhorst; husband, Howard Schneider; two brothers, Howard Windhorst and Lester Windhorst.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 pm on Saturday, November 16th at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
