Mary "Jeannie" (Murphy) Hunt

Mrs. Mary “Jeannie” Hunt, age 78, of Brookport, IL, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Center in Paducah.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Waldo Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Pell Cemetery.

Mrs. Hunt was a member of Waldo Baptist Church.

Jeannie is survived by her husband of 35 years, William Hunt of Brookport; five daughters, Rhoda Jacobs of Brookport, Carla Kirksey and husband Matthew of Brookport, and Stephanie Merrill and husband Richard of Metropolis, Melanie Munro and husband Duncan of Frazier, OR, Debra Nowlin and husband Frank of Juno, AK; one son, Richard Davis and wife Michelle of Bardstown, KY; eight grandchildren, Matthew Jones and wife Valerie, Jason Emerson and wife Cassie, Tara Welch, John Emerson, J.D. Flanary and wife Becky, Christian Flanary, Kristina Bailey and husband Byron and Jonathan Dye and wife Kristin; 23 great grandchildren; one sister, Louise Debooy of Lakewood, CO; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Nettie (Yackle) Murphy; one daughter, Rhonda Mask; one son-in-law, Terry Jacobs; one grandson, Donald Summers; two sisters, Betty Barwick, Nelda Maplethorpe; three brothers, Stanley Murphy, Ernest Murphy and Howard Murphy.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening, August 19, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm at the Loftus-McManus Brookport Funeral Home.
