Karen Williams, 76, of Metropolis, died Sunday, October 7, 2018 in Metropolis, IL.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Metropolis, IL, with Grantley Payne and Robert Schmidt officiating.
Mrs. Williams served as a Bible teacher for over twenty years in the Metropolis area. She devoted most of her life to helping others understand the Bible’s message of a bright hope for the future and how the Bible can be used as a practical guide in successful Christian living. She was associated with the Metropolis Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and enjoyed the loved and esteem of many close and loving friends there.
She enjoyed, and was skilled at, raising and caring for a variety of exotic pets and animals including fish, reptiles, birds, dogs and cats.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Myrtle (Allie) Wischnowski; and her daughter, Donna Monk.
