Jane Cathers Obituary
Mrs. Jane Hooper Cathers, age 74, of Metropolis, IL, died on Monday, April 30, 2018 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis on Thursday, May 3, 2018 with Rev. Shalom Renner officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Kenton Cemetery in Paducah, KY.
Mrs. Cathers was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Metropolis.
Jane is survived by 3 children, Kimberley (Everett) Mounts, Scott (Stephanie) Hooper, and Donna Gibson; 8 grandchildren, Hayden Hooper, Holden Hooper, Timothy (Chanlie) Downs, Jennifer (Austin) Culp, Everett Mounts II, Sindi (Caleb) Clayton, Sean (Krista) Gibson, and Cari (Travis) Ehrlich; 11 great grandchildren; step granddaughter, Patricia Williams.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Blanche Hooper; husband, Clarence Cathers; 1 son, James Thomas Hooper; 5 siblings, Bill, Gene, Hollis, and Willard Hooper and Betty Tucker; and 1 son-in-law, Timothy John Downs Sr.
Visitation will be held at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home
on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 5 to 8pm.
Memorial contributions may be given to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund 100 E. 5th Street, Metropolis, IL 62960.
