Geraldine "Gerry" (Logeman) Kersey

Mrs. Geraldine “Gerry” Kersey, age 83 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 7:01 pm on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor John Keihl officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Gerry was a retired Bank Manager, a member of Faith Lutheran Church, and a volunteer with COPE Food Pantry.

Gerry is survived by 2 daughters, LuAnn Lewis and husband Russell and Lisa King and husband Mike; 5 grandchildren, Lori Ann Gray, Shawna Leigh Herron and husband David, Christopher King and wife Tiffany, Kathy Poole and husband Walter, Hillary Juneau and husband Sean; 10 great grandchildren, Addison Gray, Kensie Gray, Sadie Gray, Tyler Herron, Taylor Herron, Brayden King, Allisa Poole, Matthew Juneau, Cora Salyers, Ashley Poole; 1 great great granddaughter, Huntyr Nicole Herron; 3 sisters, Wanda Bazor, Evelyn Mittendorf, Phyllis Throgmorton; 3 brothers, Lowell Logeman, Roy John Logeman, Linus Logeman; several nieces and nephews.

Gerry was preceded in death by her parents, John and Hilda (Korte) Logeman; husband, Bob Kersey; sister, Lucy Teckenbrock; 2 brothers, Gilbert and Ervin Logeman.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 1st from 9 am until the funeral at 11 am at Faith Lutheran Church.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Illinois Chapter 320 E. Walnut Street Suite A, Carbondale, IL 62901.
